West Maui
West Maui is home to spectacular resorts, shopping, restaurants, a wealth of activities and some of the most amazing sunsets in the world.
The Honoapiilani Highway takes you from one wonderful resort to the next along beautiful beaches, each with its own personality. Traveling north, your first stop is the historic whaling town of Lahaina with many wonderful shops, art galleries and restaurants.
A few minutes more on the Highway and you’ll find yourself drawn into the vibrant Kaanapali Resort. Kaanapali Beachwalk is one of Maui’s top beaches, along this beach walk is Whalers Village Shopping Center that offers gorgeous ocean front dinning and a variety of retail shops. The Kaanapali Resort area is also home to one of Maui’s many ocean view golf courses.
Continuing north is Kapalua, known for private getaways and championship golf, hosting the Hyundai Tournament of Champions every year. Here, the tone is a bit quieter with cooler weather and an understated elegance.
South Maui
You’ll find the sunniest, driest area of Maui on the peaceful southwestern coast. With miles of sandy beaches and clear views of the islands of Lanai, Molokini and Kahoolawe, the towns that make up South Maui are Kihei, Wailea, Makenna & the most southern point La Perouse. South Maui also offers world-class golf courses in Wailea and Makena and some of Maui’s finest restaurants and resorts.
East maui
The lush, East Maui coast is famous for the winding road to Hana. Beginning in the Central Maui city of Kahului, the Hana Highway runs for 52 miles amongst waterfalls, dramatic vistas and flowering rainforests. Hana itself is a small town where Hawaiian traditions are alive and aloha is a way of life.
Upcountry
Upcountry is known for its cool breezes and forests of eucalyptus trees. The beautiful scenic drives will lead you to ranches, botanical gardens and farms with spectacular views from its high elevation just below Haleakala, (Maui’s volcano?) The small towns that make up Upcountry are Kula, Makawao & Pukalani.
